Watson IoT Platform System Topic for Error Messages

Currently some limited error information is available as part of the device dashboard. However, this requires that the Watson IoT Platform can correctly identify the device during the authentication process. Even when displayed in the device log error information is very limited.

There is no error log for failed device connection, or for applications connecting to the Watson IoT Platform.

Suggestion: Add a System Topic in MQTT where all error information is posted, such as authentication errors, message format errors, resource oversubscription, etc.. It may even make sense to have several System Topics to keep types of errors separate. With this approach a customer can build very easily their own error handling/alerting system and troubleshooting tools.
