REST is an industry standard that many use for automation, including Cisco. Bluemix currently uses the cf API but our automation team at Cisco only supports REST or SOAP. The lack of a useful REST API for user management is impeding our adoption of the product because we can't automate our user management of it. And with as many users as we have, automation is a requirement (and it's even a requirement from our Infosec people). I believe you will find this a benefit for many of your larger corporation customers.
